after 9 days of installation, 3 months of deliberations and 5 months of the call out period we've reached the beginning of the journey of favourites.
i can now say i enjoyed the installation period as it is complete.
needless to say there were countless conversations and sharing of ideas and all sorts of other things and the one thing i can't talk about is something that margaret rose was involved with yesterday in cardiff.
this is because margaret is under contract with a tv production company and they have insisted that nothing is said about what margaret was doing and in no way should there be any pre publicity of the thing that i remember i can't mention.
you can find margaret's work in a window on bridge street.

#love & #sun & #creativity
it's valentine's day and the sun is out and the snow looks fantastic below the #bluesky.
there's horses rollicking in the fields and far below the wooded glen, a brook babbles towards the river.
oh to be carried away by the warmth of the sun.
so yes, there's been more snow and yet another thaw, so all looks good for this weekend's peer to peer meeting at the strutt's building in belper at 2pm.
i understand from chris that she is plannng to talk a bit about her creativity workshops that are taking place at studio 61 in march, april and june. if you're interested in taking part in the workshop and would like to know a bit more about what chris is planning to do, contact her via the email address or phone for a chat.

east mill abstraction
right at the end of the 2012 trail i published an image of the east mill.
i really like it and wanted to bring it somehow into the 2013 trail project.
so it's quite a pleasure to unveil the 2013 trail header, an abstraction of the east mill.

and we're off :
following the successful 2012 trail we progress quickly onto the 2013 trail project. we learnt a lot and i'm certainly hoping to put into practice stuff that i learnt as a result of being part of the 2012 belper art trail.
we're going to have a call out for artists to respond to and we're going to be launching that before christmas.
we also have some more peer to peer meetings booked before christmas and there are more planned for the new year.
for me this particular trail project will be about the process, much more than the final exhibition.
i hope that we have an opportunity to meet and chat along journey to the exhibition and i hope that we attract top quality work again to mount another successful trail around the summer food festival in belper.
